Here are a few filmed appearances I'm aware of:
Loads of Japanese TV footage and complete concert (probably would fill a whole DVD by itself)
NBC's Rock and Roll Sport classic
Musikladen - "School Days"
Old Grey Whistle Test - "School Days"
Old Grew Whistle Test - "Wasted"
Hollywood High School - "School Days"
"Saturday Night Special" video
"Mama Weer All Crazee Now" video
"Cherry Bomb" video
"Wild Thing" in concert
"American Nights" in concert
German TV - "Rock & Roll" in concert
TV performance - "Waitin' For The Night"
Reelin' In The Years - "American Nights"
Reelin' In The Years - "Queens Of Noise"
None of the above has ever been officially released to my knowledge and much is very c r a p p y quality on bootlegs. Plus, there's probably more stuff out there that I haven't heard of. Here's hoping someone will answer our wishes with a good quality compilation DVD of all The Runaways filmed performances.

I looked at earlier posts saying it would be great to see a Runaways DVD. I'd agree 100% but I wondered if we could summarise what potential there is? Apart from the videos of two songs from 'And Now...', the only potential content that I personally know of is the 'Old Grey Whistle Test' TV show appearance in October 1977 and the film of the band in Japan. I recall seeing the 'Old Grey...' appearance at the time and they played 2 songs, one of which was 'Wasted'. I recall reading somewhere that the Japan film had been intended for some sort of release, but I don't suppose anything came of it. Does anyone know if it covers a complete concert?
So what else exists, and is any of it really good, in terms of the picture sound quality and the performance? In the circumstances, I'd settle for anything within reason, but I don't suppose band members and the relevant companies would approve an official release unless there was enough material of a good standard. There are some 'Old Grey...' DVD compilations but as far as I know (I'm not certain) The Runaways are not on any.

Thanks, Wasted, great list! There must be enough good quality material amongst all that to justify a DVD, and I'm sure it would sell. What with the CD album reissues, etc, now is probably the ideal time in order to take advantage of the current level of interest in the band. If anyone has a suggestion regading a person or company that we might encourage to consider such a project, please don't hesitate to put them forward.
